Box Canyon

Box Canyon Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Box Canyon is not exactly on the banks of the Henry’s Fork but rather overlooks it from the rim of a canyon. But river access is available, and the campground is a favorite of anglers; note the fishing regulations, which for much of this area include a catch- and- release policy.

There is also whitewater in this area, and float boaters often take the 2-hour trip through Box Canyon to the Last Chance area. Several hiking trails are available, too. This is a woodsy but only partially shaded campground, owing to the tall, thin stands of lodgepole pine. The campground has a resident host in the summer."
