Ten Mile Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Despite its name, the Ten Mile campground is located a little over 9 miles northeast of Idaho City, not far from Bad Bear and Hayfork Campgrounds. Although located adjacent to ID 21, the campground feels shielded from the roadway traffic (which ordinarily is not very busy anyway). Ten Mile is split almost evenly in two parts; the entry gates face each other across the highway.

This is forested mountain country, with plenty of ponderosa pine and Douglas fir cover. The campsites are well spaced from each other. There are no hookups. RVs are allowed, but trailer length is limited to 22 feet. Ten Mile Creek and Mores Creek form part of the border for the campground, and fishing is allowed in the area."
