Bad Bear

Bad Bear Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This is a small campground, meaning—given its location near the Boise metro area—it is quieter and less crowded than some. Camping sites are a little farther away from ID 21 than are those at the nearby Ten Mile campground, though access still is close.

It is backed up against hillsides, and Bad Bear Creek bubbles against the back of it. Several fine hiking trails take off from the campground. The area is wooded—mainly with Douglas fir and ponderosa pine—and mountainous, so while hikes in the area are rewarding, they also are for the energetic."
