Thorn Creek

Thorn Creek Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Located out in the desert (no woods in the area) on Thorn Creek Reservoir, this is a favored fishing hole for many Magic Valley residents; the BLM figures that most of the visitors here come from within a 2-hour radius.

If you like desert camping—which can have a deeply calming and cool appeal, especially at night—this is a good bet. But be aware: This is a typical BLM site, which means few facilities (no local drinking water) and not even any designated camping sites. There is no garbage service here, so pack it out if you pack it in."
