Boiling Springs

Boiling Springs Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"One of the more remote campgrounds in the region, Boiling Springs is also closest to wildlife and one of the best for hunting and fishing. The forest mountain scenery is as good as it gets. An artesian water system provides the drinking water here.

A hiking trail goes upriver about a half mile from the campground to an old ranger station; high- temperature hot springs are located near it. The forest service also points out, “Wildlife enthusiasts may spot nesting ospreys along the Middle Fork Payette River. Elk and deer are often spotted grazing along its banks. Bald eagles, hawks, quail, and a variety of waterfowl also inhabit the area.”"
