Evans Creek

Evans Creek Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Finding the campground: From Mountain Home drive 20 miles northeast on US 20; turn left on the first road to Anderson Ranch Dam (the Anderson Ranch Dam Road), and then continue 16 miles north and east along the reservoir.

The campground: As at the spillway, Evans Creek, a basic campground in a small crook of an inlet of the Anderson Ranch Reservoir, has been closed to overnight use—for the time being at least— due to a potential flash flood or mudslide. There’s a good view (but not one of the best) of the reservoir from here; boat launching is available in the area. Campsites are mostly shady."
