Upper Coeur d’Alene River Trail

Upper Coeur d’Alene River Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Coeur d’Alene River Trail 20 is a well-constructed, well-maintained trail that parallels the roadless upper reaches of the river—14 miles of wild waterway. Forest Road 412 (accessed from FR 208 17.5 miles south of trailhead) dissects the trail in two, making it possible to do this hike oneway if a shuttle can be arranged.

What’s described here is the southern section of trail. The northern section is also a fine hike but it requires driving rough access roads and may involve some tricky creek crossings. The southern trail section can be hiked by all breeds of hikers and dogs— and it’s easily accessible."
