Cougar Bay Nature Conservancy Preserve

Cougar Bay Nature Conservancy Preserve Professional Review and Guide

"Hike along the marsh at the head of Cougar Bay on the northwest shore of Lake Coeur d’Alene. Then climb a short distance up the forested north-facing slope above it for your return trip. Take your time and watch for waterfowl, shorebirds, and other wildlife, which could even include a moose.

This trail is open to hikers only. Dogs must be under close control. There is room for several vehicles at the parking area, but no other facilities."
