Yellowjacket Lake

Yellowjacket Lake Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This campground is located near Bighorn Crags and shouldn’t be confused with the Yellowjacket area that lies about 6 miles (as the crow flies) to the south. (That Yellowjacket area is an old mining district, with a small amount of ranching also active.)

Like Bighorn Crags, this is a very remote area, and also like Crags, this is a good point for jumping off into the Frank Church–River of No Return Wilderness Area from the east side. The campground is in a pretty wooded mountain area, with several small water bodies nearby."
