Bighorn Crags

Bighorn Crags Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Finding the campground: From Cobalt drive 9 miles southwest on FR 055 (Morgan Creek Road/ Panther Creek Road), then 7 miles northwest on FR 112, then 13 miles north on FR 113, and then 2 miles north on FR 114.

The campground: Located on the western border of the Frank Church–River of No Return Wilderness, this is a good place to take off into the wilderness country for a week of backpacking. But you’ll have to work to get here. This is a good destination campground for a couple of weeks in the wilderness. Like most of the other campgrounds in this area, it gets light usage."
