Warm Lake Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"No, it isn’t especially warm; this is a high mountain lake, good for a brisk swim, even in late summer, or for sunning oneself on the beach. Warm Lake has two complexes of campgrounds, one based around Warm Lake Lodge and the other around North Shore Lodge; the two are little more than a mile apart. These two lodges have supplies and operate cabins as well as campgrounds, all on land leased from the forest service.
(The post office is located at Warm Lake Lodge.) In addition, the forest service operates two campgrounds of its own near the lodge properties, with hosts situated at both. Shoreline Campground is located near North Shore Lodge. It isn’t on the shoreline and, despite the numerous trees in the area (lodgepoles), feels like an open- air site; it is oriented mostly to groups."
