Poverty Flat

Poverty Flat Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Superb fishing opportunities make Poverty Flats the most popular of the four forest service campgrounds in the South Fork of the Salmon River area (away from Long Valley and Warm Lake).

There are good facilities (hitching racks) for horseback riding here, too, but no drinking water; this is roughing-it backwoods camping. Like the other campgrounds in this area (Four Mile, Camp Creek, and Buckhorn), this remote site is more popular with tenters who are there for fishing than with RVers who have to struggle to get there."
