Cove Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This campground puts you well within the Birds of Prey National Conservation Area—but don’t worry, it’s safe. You’re just off the highway (and not far from supplies), but the great canyon vistas give you the definite feeling of being way out there. Birds of prey certainly can be seen here; fishing, boating, and hiking also are popular. This is a newly renovated campground with fishing docks and a boat ramp and easy pull- throughs for RVs.

This is a developed but limited campground area; there’s water from a faucet, for example, but the BLM warns it isn’t safe for drinking or cooking. Swimming and Jet Skiing are allowed, as are pets, and there’s surface water in this desert area: The CJ Strike Dam, which impounds the Bruneau and Snake Rivers, is nearby."
