Chattanooga Hot Springs Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"A five-star soak on the Middle Fork Boise River, near the Atlanta Trailhead into the Sawtooths. Swimwear: first come, first served. Bubbly springs at 122 degrees F cascade over a cliff into a large, knee-deep pool lined with rocks and logs. It has a sandy bottom, and the temperature seems to stay a steady perfect.
There’s also a little hot pot with a shower hidden on a ledge 50 feet west of the main pool. This top-notch retreat, near the trailhead for some hikes, is tucked between the base of the 100-foot cliff and the nearby river. The jagged Sawtooths across the canyon form a dramatic backdrop. It’s a great place to pause and unwind between the rigors of a long, dusty trail and those of an even longer, bumpy road! Please be sure to respect the private property that surrounds this site by not trespassing and by following all posted signs and noticies."
