Beaver Bay Shoreline Loop

Athol, Idaho

Beaver Bay Shoreline Loop Professional Review and Guide

"Hike along the shoreline of Idlewilde Bay, which is part of beautiful Lake Pend Oreille. Most but not all of the trail junctions in Farragut State Park are marked with numbers on guideposts. These numbers correspond with the numbers on the Farragut State Park Trail Guide map.

Hike southeast from the trailhead for a short distance to a trail junction with the Beaver Bay Shoreline Loop at Junction #71. Turn right at the junction and begin the loop, heading southwest on the abandoned roadbed, signed to Shoreline Picnic Area. The second-growth forest here is made up of medium-age trees, mostly Douglas fir."
