Rock Creek State Park

Rock Creek State Park Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"The 10.5-mile loop trail around Rock Creek Lake gives you quite the look into native ecosystems and those changed by development. Several managed prairie remnants spend the summer blooming a sheer blaze of color, while previously overgrazed areas now left undisturbed are clogged with multiflora rose and honey locust.

Most of the south side of the lake is built up with roads and houses, but walk a few steps into the forested southeast corner of the park and all you’ll hear is birdsong."
