Clear Creek Professional Review and Guide
"The Clear Creek Trail is a bit of a misnomer, as the path is nowhere close to the stream until near the 8-mile mark, where it crosses a perennial tributary and then the main branch a half mile farther. Unfortunately, after crossing Clear Creek the trail dead ends at 10.5 miles, not far from a proposed upper trailhead at Lake Tahoe Golf Course Drive. Hopefully, negotiations for an easement across this section of private property will be secured in the future, allowing recreationists to utilize an 11-mile shuttle option versus a 21-mile out-and-back trip."
