Kawaikoi Stream Professional Review and Guide
"The Kawaikoi Stream Loop itself involves less than 3 miles of this much longer hike, but you can only get to it by crossing the entire Alaka’i Swamp, starting from the Pihea Trail or by this route, following the Mohihi–Camp 10 Road from Koke’e State Park.Approximate hiking time: 5 to 7 hours 9975; open daily 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Trail surface: Everything from hard, dry red dirt. Special considerations: Do not take an road to soft, mushy red mud to puddles ordinary passenger car down the Mohihi–Camp. Seasons: Year-round, but high water is more 10 Road. Even four-wheel-drive vehicles get likely to be a problem in winter stuck or slide off the road. Other trail users: Four-wheel-drive vehicles on raining because mud fills in the treads on their road tires. Canine compatibility: Dogs permitted on the and the water in Kawaikoi Stream."
