This trail meets the Kuilau Ridge Trail just below a ridgetop. Since the two trails meet at the same spot, it is a mystery why they are not considered one and the same. At any rate, you can hike this one to the end, then retrace your steps, or continue along the Kuilau Ridge Trail for a longer hike. You will need a car shuttle unless you don’t mind walking all the way back, a 10-mile round-trip. If you have to choose between the two routes, the Kuilau Ridge Trail is more scenic. The trailhead is well marked with a brown and gold sign. Do not leave anything in your car.
