Kuliouou Valley Trail

Kuliouou Valley Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"The Kuliouou Valley Trail is an easy, pastoral hike located a short distance east of Waikiki. The shaded trail parallels Kuliouou Stream up the right side of this lush valley. The path leads to the head of the narrow valley through an exotic forest with an abundance of moss-covered rocks.

The posted trailhead is located at the end of the cul-de sac. Begin by walking down the paved road about 50 yards. The footpath heads off to the right past a hunter check-in station and down to Kuliouou Stream. At 0.3 miles is a junction with the Kuliouou Ridge Trail on the right. The Ridge Trail switchbacks 900 feet out of the valley to the ridge above (1.2 miles to the picnic shelter). Continue straight ahead on the Kuliouou Valley Trail, following the contours of the hillside above the stream."
