Hanalei Bay Black Pot Beach Park to Waioli Stream

Hanalei Bay Black Pot Beach Park to Waioli Stream Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Black Pot Beach Park sits at the mouth of the Hanalei River in picture-perfect Hanalei Bay, fringed with palms. The park, bordered by the river to the north and the Pacific to the west, has a wide, grassy camping and picnic area.

Towering, fluted cliffs frame a dramatic backdrop along the arch of the semicircular bay. Several long, narrow waterfalls tumble hundreds of feet off the stately mountains. This hike follows the bay along the scenic crescent-shaped strand from the Hanalei River to Waioli Stream."

This isn't as a hike as it is a beach strool. Hanalei Bay is a beautiful bay and is next to our favorite Kauai town, Hanalei. If you are down on the North Shore be and sure and stop here and Tunnells to Kee Beach!

We were told Black Pot Beach is the place to go in Hanalei Bay. Unfortunately (or fortunately?) it was 4th of July weekend, so the bay was packed with everyone on Kauai. Despite the crowds we enjoyed the main beach at night to watch the fireworks. Unlike other beaches on the island, here you have all the modern conveniences if you are looking for them – bathhouses, volleyball nets, kayak rentals, etc. It was fun, but not as relaxing as the other beaches.
