Manele Bay - Lanai

Manele Bay - Lanai Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This left-hand reef break is an amazing spot to see pumping in ace waves. When it’s on, it’s really on—and it doesn’t take long for the word to spread. When it’s not, though, you can usually still find fun short peaks just past the reef edge, as well as bodyboarding waves in the middle of the beach.

Best Boards: Shortboards, longboards, and bodyboards. This chapter also includes a brief description of Polihua Beach, Hulopo`e Beach Park, Sharks Cove, Naha Beach, Lopa Beach, Makaiwa Point, Halepalaoa Beach, Keomuku Beach, and Shipwreck (Kaiolohia) Beach."

Don't go to Manele Bay to surf, go for the snorkeling. It is one of the best bays I have found. The left side toward Sweetheart Rock is the best, but if calm, try right along the shore in front of the Hotel.
