Napili - Maui Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This predominantly left-hand reef is one of the island’s best walling waves, with a sting in the tail. You either connect on big sets to surf waves around the rock slap-bang in the middle of the beach, or you slip inside to cruise to the grinding beach break—although you may end up with bruising body blows as it crunches you up on dry sand! Best Boards: Shortboards up to 8 feet.

A terrifically visual beach with pure white sand and a lava reef break that boggles the mind when you first turn the bend under the palm trees. Distant turquoise swells fill the horizon as you look out over the 20-foot cave-filled drop to a pounding shorebreak. Napili is 2 miles south of Honolua Bay and 4 miles north of Lahaina. The end section here is one of the scariest anywhere—given the rock in the middle of the beach—but no matter what, it’s an adventure and a barrel of fun."
