Shipwreck Beach Keoniloa Bay

Shipwreck Beach Keoniloa Bay Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Shipwreck Beach, in Keoniloa Bay, is a half-mile crescent of sandy beach. The bay sits between the lava rocks of Kaneaukai and the lithified sand dune bluff of Makawehi Point. Trails crisscross the Makawehi cliffs, offering commanding views out to sea.

Exploring the cliffs leads to beautifully sculpted rock formations, coves, caves, tidepools and magnificent views up the rugged coastline and the Hoary Head Range."

This is a nice family beach but a little crowded by my taste. There are several trees along the shoreline to provide you some shade.

This is a very nice hike for families and provides exceptional views of the ocean and Shipwreck Beach. It is a great place to spot whales on their annual warm water travels.
