"Summary of hike: The Maakua Ridge Trail sits above the town of Hauula in the Kaipapau Forest Reserve. The trail begins in Maakua Gulch and crosses over Maakua Ridge into Papali Gulch, forming a loop.

Very good hike. Pretty view from the ridge. When you park, take the service road uphill, don't be swayed by what looked like a trail head just before where you park.
