"The hike begins in Waianapanapa State Park and follows a portion of the ancient Hawaiian “Kings Highway” from Pailoa Bay to Pakaulua Point. The path crosses Pailoa “Black Sand” Beach and parallels the volcanic coastline above the sea. Two small cobblestone beach pockets are revealed along the way."

Didn't do the whole hike, but it looks great. We got there pretty late in the day after a 'crack-of-noon' start from Ka'anapali. Nice park and seems way more safe than other places to the west.
