This hike follows a shoreline of incomparable beauty, with dozens of blowholes and sea arches, fascinating lava formations, archeological sites, and possible sightings of sea turtles and dolphins. The route goes all the way to Hana, but beyond the first mile the way is rough, indistinct, and dangerous if you aren’t very, very careful. The hike described here goes about 1 mile out and back, and includes the most exciting part of the coast.
