Spencer Trail Professional Reviews and Guides
"Although a short hike distance-wise, the historic Spencer Trail climbs 1,500 feet in only 1.5 miles. This effort is not without its rewards, however: the top offers spectacular views of the Colorado River and the surrounding red rock desert."
--Scott S. Warren, 100 Classic Hikes Arizona (The Mountaineers Books).
