This is a two track dirt road. I used it to jog on. I liked that it is very wide and straight, not at all like single track trails. But I still found it challenging because it has a long and steady climb for the first 2 miles. I ran this in july when the forest is a lush green, but so thick it tends to obstruct the dramatic overlook views. Wind seemed to keep away the bugs. I didn't come along any other people. I wore a bear bell and didn't bring any food, I didn't see a single bear so guessing that worked. Took this trail out and back from warm springs parking. Combined with the warm springs trail (is a single track) got me 13.1miles and about 2000ft elevation total.
