North Moutain Trail

North Moutain Trail is a hiking trail in Augusta County, Virginia. It is within George Washington National Forest - North River district. It is 3.8 miles long and begins at 4,379 feet altitude. Traveling the entire trail is 7.7 miles with a total elevation gain of 1,625 feet. The WVPT-TV (Staunton) (elevation 4,331 feet) tower and the WTON-FM (Staunton) (elevation 4,357 feet) mast are near the trailhead. Hogback (elevation 4,446 feet) can be seen along the trail.
