Long Run Road Professional Review and Guide

"This ride's general location is 20 miles Northwest of Harrisonburg. Scenery ranges from lush riparian areas to clear mountaintop vistas. This is a very straightforward, albeit tough ride. It involves a steady six-mile climb to White Oak Flat and then a four-mile descent or vice versa.

The climb offers some of the finest views of the neighborhood peaks and ridges as a diversion from the eternal nature of this ascent, while the descent is a pretty tricky drop through rocky and possibly slick sections of Long Run. Consider this a ride for intermediate or better riders who don't mind getting wet."
