Mountain Biking Virginia: An Atlas of Virginia's Greatest Off-Road Bicycle Rides

Mountain Biking Virginia: An Atlas of Virginia's Greatest Off-Road Bicycle Rides

If you must pick one ride in this book, do this one. This is a bold statement, considering the other gems documented throughout these pages, but this ride manages to sample two of the best Burg area trails in one loop. Both Dowells Draft and the Magic Moss trails have benefited from significant work thanks to the Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition securing nearly $600,000 in grant money for trail development.

Every foot you climb throughout the ride’s length will be worth the effort, and once you’re done you’ll want to come back for more. If you really want to make it even more of an epic ride, you can easily combine this ride with either (or both) the Lookout Mountain ride or the Narrowback ride.
