Big Cedar Creek

Big Cedar Creek Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This is a classic creek float down an attractive valley waterway. Big Cedar Creek flows placidly through wooded hills and open valley country in the rural Coosa River watershed of northwest Georgia. The many cedar trees of this area thrive because of the limestone base of the valley here.

Not only do these limestone rocks promote the growth of cedar trees, they also form the rocky bed of this stream. And this rocky bed partly accounts for the clarity of this attractive watercourse."
