Kinchafoonee Creek

Kinchafoonee Creek Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Kinchafoonee Creek is one of the major tributaries of the lower Flint River. The lower section of the creek delights with a blend of features more typical of Florida’s streams:
vertical limestone bluffs dripping with water and ferns intermingling with occasional small rapids.

Side creeks spill over unexpected waterfalls; a true blue-hole spring opens up within the riverbed. The upper reaches, though lacking in these singular delights, are sparse of habitation, deep of woods, and ideal for isolated canoe-camping trips. The creek meets up with the Flint River within the stilled waters of Lake Chehaw."
