McDaniel Farm has been restored to depict a subsistence farm similar to many of the farms in the area in the 1930s. In addition to hiking the asphalt trail and taking a free self-guided tour of the farm, you can take the docent-led Heritage Farm tour on Friday and Saturday.

Very disappointed from a hiking standpoint--not much of a trail. But the creek and falls are very pretty and worth seeing.

There is no way this is a 1.1 mile trail. It looks like the later part of the trail was recently fenced off. It is still very pretty, wonderful opportunity for aspiring photographers b/c of the pseudo waterfall. As a trail I rated it low - as a spot to hang out and cool off in the water, it is great.
