F. D. Roosevelt State Park Campground Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"F. D. Roosevelt State Park’s boasts are many: It is Georgia’s largest state park and most historic in terms of its development because its construction was personally supervised by America’s longest-serving president, Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

The park, to some, has the best hiking in the state park system, with 23-mile Pine Mountain Trail the linchpin in the other 14 miles of trails. It has a spring-fed stone swimming pool, scenic drive, and is only 11 miles distant from FDR’s Little White House in Warm Springs, Georgia."

Hiked most of these trails November & December of 2009. This is a great park with a wonderful and varied trail system. Very well marked and enough elevation change to keep it interesting. You can find my hike videos of this park on Youtube under username Woodenarrows
