Ichawaynochaway Creek

Ichawaynochaway Creek Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Ichawaynochaway Creek is as wild as its name sounds. The stream constantly changes its ways—from narrow, log-choked creek to wide, slow swamp waterway to rocky stream with rapids. The clear waters offer varying tints of brown, depending on their depth. Fallen logs are visible throughout, whether they are in the water, under the water, or around the water.

Expect to navigate under, over, and around deadfalls in the course of a paddle, especially the first few miles. Wildlife is abundant on the stream. A quiet paddler will see numerous turtles and fish in the water—alligators, too."
