"Okay, so now you’ve ridden the Twin Oaks Trail, moved on to the Cliatt Creek Trail, and are ready for more of a challenge. Well, here it is. This version of the Rock Dam Loop incorporates part of the Cliatt Creek Trail to create a figure eight for more distance. The Rock Dam section is farther back in the unused area of the park, and the trail is less used and more technical. This section is very new (it had just been flagged when I mapped it), and will take a couple of years to wear in.
This description may differ some from the final result, after the usual route tweaking that is always a part of a new trail. Another section across the creek at Rock Dam is planned, but it was not ready at this writing. Use common sense on some sections; there’s nothing too technical here, but some of the unbridged creek crossings are slick and tricky. Logs across the trail, creek crossings, a mud bog, a rocky sidehill, and more elevation change will keep you interested for the entire ride. Tread: 0.8 mile on paved park road, and 5.6 miles on singletrack trail, some on old roadbed."
