Holiday Campground Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"The walk-in tent sites are the reason to come here, plain and simple. These are among the best campsites for tenters in the state of Georgia. They are so good that you may not want to leave your site. And there aren’t just a few of them tossed in as an afterthought—there are a whopping 35 walk-in tent sites. That means no matter what time of year, save for summer holiday weekends, you will be able to get a first-rate campsite overlooking west Georgia’s West Point Lake.
If you want a drive-up campsite, 16 of them are nonelectric and also offer lakefront vistas. Furthermore, this is a well-designed, spare-no-expense Army Corps of Engineers campground, even the electric sites aren’t bad. Recreation opportunities are centered on West Point Lake, plus a little hiking and biking, which can also be enjoyed directly from the campground."
