Unicoi State Park: Smith Creek Trail Professional Review and Guide
"The well-marked Smith Creek Trail is not difficult, but its rewards are great. The trail’s name is actually deceiving, as it follows another stream (not Smith Creek) briefly before it climbs through open hardwood forest, crosses several streams, and ventures into wild coves of thick rhododendron. The path tops Hickorynut Ridge and then descends a west-facing slope with good winter views. The trail then circles around Smith Mountain and reaches the Anna Ruby Falls Scenic Area where separate falls—one 153 feet tall and another 50 feet tall—plunge into a lush cove."
