Saint Marys River

Saint Marys River Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Starting at Tompkins Landing, the St. Marys River winds through a gorgeous wooded corridor broken by white sandbars, which contrast with the dark waters as the river heads north. Straighter sections have fewer sandbars but more overhanging trees.

As you near Traders Hill, the St. Marys becomes tidally influenced, backing the river up or hastening its current, depending on the tides, although salt water never reaches this far inland. An outfitter (see listing above) is available for this exact run, eliminating the need for two cars."
