Carters Lake: Tumbling Waters Nature Trail Professional Review and Guide
"The Tumbling Waters Nature Trail leads to Tails Creek, a remote stream that slides through a pocket of hemlock forest that is easily accessible but has the air of a hidden gem. A wood bridge spanning the creek sits high above a long stretch of cascades, and observation platforms on each side of the creek also provide elevated views. If you would like to play in the creek or relax on the bank, the bridge leads to a path that descends to the water’s edge, while another path climbs the bluff that overlooks the creek. The trails provide access to a fairly limited portion of Tails Creek, but the stellar forest and rushing water make this a spot worth visiting for a few hours of serenity."
