Chattahoochee River below Buford Dam

Chattahoochee River below Buford Dam Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"A distinctly different river trip on Georgia’s master river. Be sure to check Buford Dam generation schedules before getting on the water. Massive Buford Dam looms above the put-in.

You will likely see fishermen in waders braving the cold water while vying for the trout that thrive here. The waters, emerging from the chilly depths of Lake Lanier, are normally superlatively clear, and you can see moss growing on larger rocks, exposed at lower flows."
