Little Mulberry Park Trails

Little Mulberry Park Trails Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Nestled in the northeastern corner of Gwinnett County, Little Mulberry Park is an 892-acre greenspace featuring more than 13 miles of hiking, biking, and equestrian paths meandering across meadows, through the 200-acre Karina Miller Nature Preserve, and around Miller Lake.

In addition to recreational facilities, Little Mulberry Park also preserves trace evidence of early Native American habitation in mysterious “stone mounds” found along sections of the 2.2-mile Ravine Loop Trail. The hike profiled in this chapter begins at the southern parking area and includes a walk along the paved Meadows Trails, Ravine Trail, Carriage Trail, and Miller Lake Trail."

"Since the late 1990s, Gwinnett County has been one of the fastest-growing counties in Georgia with a population exceeding 850,000. Fortunately, the county’s parks and recreation department has a robust program to preserve green space, and Little Mulberry, located in Auburn, is one of more than 30 parks in Gwinnett County. Little Mulberry Park opened in 2004 and covers 485 acres, with more than 12 miles of trails, including footpaths through old-growth forest. Within the park lies the 405-acre Karina Miller Nature Preserve, which includes a 2.2-mile wheelchair-accessible trail around a lake with fishing piers, as well as 4 miles of equestrian trails. Additional paved paths circling high meadows are ideal for walking or jogging. The paths in the forest are clear and well-maintained, and a system of seven different trails allows you to tailor your route." Read more

"This combined multiuse and pedestrian trail offers a 2-mile hike through an old-growth forest to unspoiled Table Rock Falls and then explores the adjacent river valley. Some longdistance scenic views make the multiuse section of the trail pleasing." Read more

A lovely walk in the woods. Nothing spectacular on this trail but it is in a beautiful wooded area and not a strenuous hike at all. On the drive there you pass through a quaint little town named Juliette that has a few cafes, antique shops, and gift shops.
