Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area Sope Creek

Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area: Sope Creek Professional Review and Guide

"Sope Creek has long been a destination for mountain bikers, but it’s popular with hikers and trail runners as well. Hikers can choose from a myriad of loops that snake through rolling forest and trek into deep woods and hide the fact that you’re quite close to civilization.

The land is cut with ravines, and in the southern portion of this unit an especially peaceful path sidles up to the whispering waters of Fox Creek. The hike detailed below generally makes a large loop through the area, but side trails are worth exploring, and map stands at many trail junctions will help you navigate if you choose to improvise your own route."
