Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area: Medlock Bridge Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"The Medlock Bridge unit of the Chatthoochee River National Recreation Area is really a place for a brief escape from the suburban sprawl north of Atlanta. A boat launch gives paddlers and other boaters easy access to the Chattahoochee River, and the riverbank has lots of spots to cast a fishing line and while away a few hours. The Medlock Bridge Trail winds along the twisting waterway, and then climbs a hill where you’ll find a rock outcrop. Pack a lunch and sit in this high perch among the tree canopy with an open view of the forest floor below."
