Hillsborough River: Morris Bridge Park to Trout Creek Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"This stretch of river runs through floodplain swamp and hydric hammock. In places it is narrow with faster water flow and overhead canopy, making it a pleasantly shaded trip for most of the upper half of the trip. This is a good trip to see Florida wildlife in, on, and around the river.
Watch for alligators, turtles, snakes, herons, ibis, wood stork, and garfish. This section is less paddled than the stretch upstream of Morris Bridge (from Sargeant Park), and as such you may see more wildlife."
