Loops of San Luis Park Professional Review and Guide
"This city park, centered on Lake Esther, has a network of paths that together make for 3.5 miles of trails. This hike explores the lushly forested hilly tract, taking in most of the trails in one grand loop. San Luis Park isn’t very big. Located just north of the historic San Luis Mission, this slender tract makes the most of its available terrain, with trails just about everywhere. The assortment of paths includes a lakeside boardwalk, a paved path, and natural-surface trails that are marked with diamond blazes, as well as unblazed connector trails. The blazed trails are marked in numerical order to help you keep apprised of your whereabouts. The connectors link the trail system to adjacent neighborhoods."
