Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

Our first trail experience in Florida was quite different than any that we'd had at home in Pennsylvania. The flatness, the sand, and the different vegetation kept us interested at every step. On the Lake Eaton Sinkhole Trail we headed into the scrub and into a new world. Hand sized spiders hung low over the trail, catching us way off guard at first, but after a few minutes we were able to anticipate then and dodge them. Them sinkhole itself wasn't much to look at, having been from a much more mountainous locale, but the trail itself was a delight, nice easy walking. Our only regret was that we didn't live in Florida long enough to experience more of it.
