Pinellas Trail

Pinellas Trail Professional Review and Guide

"It's not singletrack, but it's Florida's most popular recreational trail, 94 out-and-back, slicing through Florida's west coast urban-hood on what used to be the Orange Belt rails.

The only wildlife you'll see on this trail will be pushing pedals, walking, or rollerblading. And there's plenty of it, too. Plenty of parks along the way have facilities available, but the one park you should be sure to visit is Taylor Park, where the headquarters for the Pinellas Trail rangers is located."

EASY TRAIL WITH ONLY A FEW UP AND OVER HIGHWAYS. iT IS NOT ALONG THE WATER SO YOU HAVE TO GO DOWN A FEW BLOCKS TO SEE THE BEACH. cLEARWATER IS NOT A NICE SECTION AND MOST OF THE TRAIL IS NOT VERY SCENIC AS DESCRIBED. bUT ON A SUNNY DAY IS IT VWEY PLEASANT AND NOT CROWDED.

NOT a "moderately difficult" trail, the Pinellas Trail is a relatively easy, urban, paved trail for everyone from toddlers to geriatrics. There are plenty of parks, cafes, and rest stops along the way to make this a fine ride for locals and tourists who don't want the exertion of single-track or long road rides.
